Read more about the Artist’s Inspiration behind “Kueh Shop”:
“Yong’s is arguably the most renowned Teochew Kueh shop in Singapore. Handmade Kueh comes out steaming fresh from their kitchen every morning while excited customers snap them up for breakfast.
Png Kueh is a pink-hued glutinous rice dumpling stuffed with savoury treats like pork, mushroom, shrimp, peanuts and shallots. It is shaped using moulds into the form of a peach – which symbolises longevity.
This traditional shophouse which houses Yong’s second branch is located at 150 East Coast Road, Singapore.”
