Read more about the Artist’s Inspiration behind “The Red Bowl”:
“Located at 6 Keong Saik Road, Foong Kee Coffee Shop is widely regarded as one of the best places in Singapore serving Wanton Noodles and Roast Pork. The shop may appear unassuming to the untrained eye with its old-school, non-airconditioned premises; but it counts top businessmen, lawyers and judges as regular customers.
Thin yellow noodles are tossed in a blend of oyster sauce, soy sauce, lard oil, chilli and topped with sliced roast pork. Served alongside it is a bowl of clear soup with meat dumplings (Wanton). This simple and classic dish delights people of all ages and backgrounds.”
