Read more about the Artist’s Inspiration behind ” In the Emerald Jungle”:
“Singapore’s Black and White houses were originally built during the British colonial days and are located in various parts of the island. Hidden in the thick jungles of Singapore, they seem to carry with them stories of the past. The Artist Deborah Mckellar chose these historic black and white houses as the subject matter of her artwork to relate these old stories that still linger on in these grand old houses. The Black and White bungalow in this artwork is located at 1 York Road.”
